If your household keeps a running list on the fridge whiteboard or a paper note, you don't have to retype it.
Scan a list
- Open your list and start adding items, then tap the camera button.
- Take a photo of the whiteboard, notepad, or receipt — or pick existing photos from your library.
- Grocer reads the writing and stages every item it found, cleaned up and ready to review.
- Remove anything you don't want and tweak the rest, then tap Add to drop them into your list.
Tips for a good scan
- Handwriting is fine — it doesn't need to be neat, but good lighting helps.
- Crossed-out items are usually skipped.
- Quantities like "milk x2" are picked up and attached to the item.
The photo is used only to read the items and is never stored on our servers. See What Grocer can see for the full privacy picture.
